Writer: ChargeUKChargeUK

ChargeUK, the voice of the UK’s EV charging industry, has completed elections for a new board.

The elections were held in line with the organisation’s standard governance procedures ahead of the AGM next month and as the organisation marks two years since it was established.

A new Policy Chair and Communications Chair were also elected by the membership.

Laura Hardy, Corporate Affairs director at GRIDSERVE, is the new Chair of the Communications Committee.

Antoine Picron, Senior Manager, public policy Europe at ChargePoint, is the new Chair of the Policy Committee.

The board for 2025-27 is:

  • Andreas Atkins, Country Manager UK & Ireland, Ionity

  • Nick de Mestre, CFO, Raw Charging

  • Nicolas Garnier, Managing Director, TotalEnergies Charging Solutions UK

  • Tom Hurst, UK Country Director, Fastned

  • Chris Pateman-Jones, CEO, Connected Kerb

  • Richard Stobart, Founder and Market Development Director, Char.gy

  • Roy Williamson, Executive Chairman, GRIDSERVE

The membership will elect an interim Chair later this month, ahead of the organisation recruiting a Non-Executive Chair in the next quarter. Executive search firm Odgers Berndtson have been engaged to support the process of selecting and hiring the new Non-Executive Chair.

ChargeUK was established two years ago by 18 leading charge point providers. It now has over 40 members. The full membership can be found here

Vicky Read, CEO of ChargeUK, said, “Our organisation is in good health going into year three. I’m looking forward to working with the new board and with a new Non-Executive Chair in due course.

“I’d like to thank the outgoing board, who have given considerable time and commitment to the organisation this last year, in addition to the support they have given to me personally since I took on the CEO role in 2024.

“ChargeUK was founded two years ago with the goal of enabling the sector to work together to smooth the road to net zero and deliver for UK drivers. With the milestone of 75,000 public chargers reached this week, we are making great progress. But in challenging times, it’s clear that it has never been more important for the sector to speak with a loud and clear voice.”
