UK-wide ultra-rapid EV charging network is latest to join the industry association
Arnold Clark Charge, the UK-wide ultra-rapid EV charging network operated by the car retailer, has joined ChargeUK, the voice of EV charging.
The charging network, which owns and operates over 400 charge points, is the latest to join the EV charging industry’s trade association. ChargeUK’s over 40 members operate more than two thirds of the UK’s EV charge points.
The news comes off the back of the Autumn Budget, which saw EV charging bays given business rates relief for 10 years and a review into the costs of public charging announced — both as a consequence of ChargeUK’s campaigning.
Pablo Levi, Group Sustainability Manager at Arnold Clark, said: "We’re delighted to join ChargeUK and work together with them to help define the future of EV charging.
"As our ultra-rapid charging network continues to grow across the UK, we want to support drivers making the switch to electric and working alongside ChargeUK will ensure we are able to offer the best products and solutions in the industry at an affordable price."
Vicky Read, chief executive, ChargeUK said: “Arnold Clark Charge is another great example of a ChargeUK member which is innovating and finding new ways in the market to offer affordable, high-quality charging to drivers. We have already welcomed them to our meetings and are looking forward to the insights they will be bringing in 2025.”
